Apples are abundant in fall, found in ciders, pies, and turkey stuffing for Thanksgiving. They are an incredibly versatile fruit found in both savory and sweet treats. This post takes the fall fruit and turns it into a delicious and decorative bite sized pie or tart in the shape of a rose. It's simple, fast and a crowd pleaser. So break it out to sweeten your next holiday or festive feast!

Step 3 in making glass jars

Step 3: Adding the glow For each jar I used 1 glow stick. Break the glow stick to activate the chemicals and carefully cut the top off the tube, pour the liquid into the jar and seal it up. Dispose of the empty glow stick carefully. Now just swirl the liquid around inside the jar to coat the inside. These lasted 2 hours, from the time I poured them till they were dead. Caution:  Glow sticks contain chemicals that should be handled and treated with respect. Most glow sticks contain a small glass vial inside the plastic tube that contains a mixture of hydrogen peroxide in phthalic ester. Outside of the glass vial is another chemical called phenyl oxalate ester. Thanks for looking.

Step 2: Draw, cut, peel, Using a sharpie I drew on some creepy faces, carefully cut the faces out using an razor knife, spray the jars with flat black spray paint 2 coats did the trick for me. After the paint is dry, carefully peel the masking tape off.

Greet your ghostly and goblin guest's with these cute little glowing jack-O-lanterns. Step 1: Mask Wipe the jar down with a soft cloth and rubbing alcohol to remove finger prints. I then used 2 inch masking tape to completely cover the jar ( I don't like over spray ) .

Step 7: Add a loop for hanging 1)   Take your chopstick (or other long, sharp tool) and poke it into the top of the ghost's head on one side, then back out the other side.  (See photos for placement of holes.) 2)   Remove the chopstick, then use it to push one of the garbage bag strips through the holes. 3)   Holding the ends of the strip, twirl it into a rope, then knot the ends together. 4)   Trim the ends of the knot, removing the excess, then carefully slide the loop until the knot is hidden inside the ghost's head. Now use the rest of the bags to make a second ghost, then go hang your spooky pair somewhere and enjoy!

Step 6: Add a face Pick the spot you like best and use your permanent black marker to draw a face on the ghost's head.  Give it a minute before touching the ink or it can smear.
